Kimi, I'm probably the guy to talk with regarding travel...over 1.5 million miles on Delta and I do not travel 70% of the time...more like 40%. I will say that for each person it is different and you may need to do it to find out if it is cut out for you. ATL is probably one of the best cities for business travel. Nowadays travel can be a hassel, you just have to learn the tricks of the trade. One thing about travel is you do see many places that you would have not seen, however, since you would be a regional manager my guess is you would be focused on the SE...how many trips to Greensboro could you handle? Anyway my suggestion is to get the offer and then lets talk. I am actually in LA right now plan to have fun tomorrow night with Doug...see travel can be fun!

You know I just came off the Mack Dadddy traveling job. I can honestly say that it was tough on my relationship. Now, that being said - My job was 100% travel AND I didn't get to come home on weekends. I think that would have made a big difference. How much time do you and Brandi spend together during the week? If you spend a lot of time together, then even 70% travel may be tough. But if you both know you'll be together on the weekends, then you should be able to pull through. It'll be an adjustment, I'm sure - but there are families all around the country that survive one person traveling during the week. So, it can work. But expect some uncomfortablness, and expect to make adjustments.

Well Kimi this sound great!! I cannot speak as a person that travels for a living, but I can speak for the partners, spouses etc. that are left at home. It does make your time together more special and you respect each other more when you are together. (it even makes the sex better too!) I think that Glenn hates the travel more than I hate him traveling, but I get to sleep at home every night and play with the dog whenever I want. These are the day to day things that Glenn really misses. You adjust!! Just dont get to a point where you start resenting what you do, and you will be fine, we are!!

Another question? If you get this new job will we not be able to read these blogs everyday?
